Our boots are made with the same care and consideration that goes into our legendary headwear, resulting in the ultimate mix of heel-to-toe comfort, rugged durability, and timeless western style. Crafted in the bootmaking capital of León, Mexico—where the tradition of creating frontier-ready leather footwear dates back to the mid-17th century— each pair takes approximately 40 hours and 200 individual steps to complete. They are lasted, stitched and tooled entirely by hand, using high-quality leathers that will develop an attractive patina over time and welt construction that allows them to be resoled as needed. Equally fit for days on the range or nights on the town, they’re made to go the extra mile.
The James is a traditional western boot with leather vamp and a 13” corded shaft and features an R toe—a classic all-purpose style that also dresses up well—as well as a stacked leather cowboy heel. Its quality construction includes 3⁄4 welt soles, brass nails and handmade lemonwood pegs that will expand and contract with any moisture the boot may encounter. Premium leather lining and a removable Tru-X insole ensure comfort in every step.
